24: Losing

November 24, 2010

Okay, I know it’s not Wednesday it totally IS Wednesday and I haven’t been posting weight updates for the last several weeks, but I have some exciting news that I just have to share with you (this has nothing to do with the secret I mentioned in yesterday’s post — that’s still to come!).

Today, I stepped on the scale and saw my lowest number yet (since I began this journey in April)! I currently weigh 151.8 pounds. The last two weigh-ins before today, I was 154.4, so I was completely stunned when I saw I’d lost 2.6 pounds! And in case you haven’t been following along since Day 1, that’s a total of SIXTEEN POUNDS down from my original weight.

My plan for the rest of the year is just to maintain my weight. I want to stay between 150 and 155, still working to eat healthfully and exercise at least once a week, but I’m gonna be realistic about this.

In other news, I am really, REALLY ready for this work day to be over so I can get to spending time with my family.

I know I’m just a geeky engineer, but isn’t today Wednesday? Just sayin’…

I like your plan to keep the weight within a certain range, rather than one specific number. Sounds healthier and a lot easier to achieve :-) Way to go!

p.s. I was also excited to see the number “24″ labeling this post– one more week and we’re done! Woo-hoo!

    Woo-hoo!

As of today, I’m down 12.5 from where I started in August. I’ve been at this weight before, and then gained 6 pounds, and then lost it again. I’m feeling good.

Inspiring! Way to go on keeping it off – that’s usually the hardest part!
