Project 365 Spotlight: My favorites so far.

September 9, 2010

I have been having a ton of fun with this photo-a-day thing. I don’t know why I decided to do it solely with my cell phone, but it definitely makes sticking to the plan a lot easier, because I always forget to bring my camera with me, but I NEVER forget my cell phone. Anyway, today marks the 45th day, and I’m really doing it! (One day I forgot to upload my photo, but I did take it on the correct day, so I’m calling it a win.)

Here are some of my favorite photos thus far:

011/365

I took this one in the car on our way out of town, and I just love it. Every once in awhile, I capture a photo of myself that makes me feel really beautiful, and this is one of them.

***

016/365

This one makes me happy because it shows that I’m finally compiling a collection of shoes that aren’t ALL black or brown. There’s color in my shoe-drobe, at last!

***

023/365

Tell me you didn’t giggle a little when you saw this photo. My husband is a goofball, even when he’s killing pesky bugs. I love looking at pictures like this one and realizing that I get to have this guy for my whole life, and his goofiness will last well into his nineties.

***

027/365

This one represents an entire month of awesomeness, but especially the day I got to meet these two cool people, Nico and Ashley. What would my life be without internet friends like you guys?

***

032/365

I like this one mostly for its composition (not that I know a darn thing about photography, because I don’t). If the lighting was a little better, I might consider blowing it up and getting a canvas print of it or something. But it also reminds me of the delicious tea you see there, Strawberry Lemon Twist. Yum!

***

034/365

How gorgeous is this girl? I snuck this one while we were hanging out in Colorado, and I just love it. We had so much fun!

***

042/365

I can’t stop smiling when I see this picture, because it had been far too long since I’d made any jewelry, and suddenly after a few hours of focus, I had these eleven pairs of earrings in front of me. I’m getting serious about trying to start selling some of this stuff.

Here’s to the next 320 days!

If you’re interested in seeing all of my photos, I’m keeping this page updated with clickable thumbnails to each day’s photo. You can also subscribe via RSS if you really don’t want to miss a single one!

Those were taken with your phone?! Awesome! I love your selection – so pretty in the first one, too! :)

I definitely love that picture of you… supercute with the braids! :)

I also told you on Flickr already that you did a great job capturing the tea cup and pot. Love it!
You’re doing a great job so far and I’m looking forward to seeing more and more of your pictures! :)

P.S. I take some of my photos with my cell phone, too, and sometimes it’s amazing how good the quality of cell phone pictures is these days!

I love the photos! And those earrings, especially the slate gray/black ones? LOVE. Let me know when you’re selling them, k!?

Also, still super duper jealous you met Nico & Ashley. Sigh. Someday it has to be our turn to meet, k!?

I definitely want to restart my Project 365 (I started a few months ago, but then got too behind!), especially now that I have a phone with a camera! It’s very convenient. :)

I love that picture of your husband, hehe. And your comment about it was so sweet. Aww!

I would totally buy those earrings! (Especially those big purple (?) ones…)

    I’m digging the braids!!

I’ve noticed that I’ve been taking a lot of pictures lately with my iPhone rather than my camera because it’s so easy to upload it….than plug the camera in, import and so on.

I love how you’re proud of the color diversity of your shoe collection… and yet, they are almost all flip flops. Some diversity … hahahah.

The self-portrait is really wonderful … especially, because there is beauty without make-up and you’ve shown it.

And thank you for sharing your jewelry … but, you’re still a tease. hahahah.

You should set up an Etsy page for your jewelry. :D

Hi Tabitha, it’s Whitney from book club! Love your photos — I tried to do Project 365 once and could only keep it up for a few months, oops.

First, what the what?! You sneaky little bastard, putting that photo of me in there. But thank you for the nice compliment, even if I don’t like that picture of myself ;)

Gorgeous photo of you, though! Love your photos and your dedication :) I don’t know if I could ever do it. My self discipline is lacking…

love all the shoes! just remember your feet may grow bigger when you get preggers :)

  13. September 12, 2010 7:02 pm

I love all these photos. The self portrait of you is gorgeous, you’re beautiful inside and out. Now, lets talk about those earrings — the black, gray square ones on the left. How much and when can I buy them? Also the clear ones on the same side, I might need those too. Please open your shop soon!
