Weigh-In Wednesday: Unexpected Awesomeness!
Okay you guys, I gotta keep this short because I’m only working a half day today and I have a FULL day’s worth of stuff to get done before Joe and I leave for Colorado!
Basically, I was shocked when I stepped on the scale this morning. The past two weeks, I’ve gained a total of 1.6 pounds, and I honestly thought that this week would be another gain, or if I was really lucky, I might lose a pound AT MOST.
Not so.
Starting weight (4/21/10): 167.8
Last week’s weight: 156.0
Current weight: 153.0
This week’s loss: -3.0 lbs
Net difference: -14.8 lbs
Check that out, you guys. Not only did I lose all of the weight I had gained in the last two weigh-ins, but I lost ANOTHER 1.4 pounds on top of that, making this my lowest weight yet!
I was pretty floored when I saw that, and I had to step on and off the scale a few times just to make sure it wasn’t some kind of fluke.
This little, unexpected victory today makes me feel more pumped than ever, especially because I am only three pounds away from reaching 150! Which means that my ultimate goal of 145 is not that far off, either. I honestly couldn’t picture myself ever reaching 145 until this morning.
So yay! And in other news, I apologize in advance if I totally slack off on posting until next week’s weigh-in. Like I said earlier, I’m going to Colorado tonight and won’t be back until Monday, but I am taking my laptop so I can do my VEDA vlogs, so I’ll see if I can throw in a post or two, too.
Happy Wednesday!

Oh, and also: Today’s VEDA topic is “Who Inspires You on the Internet”, and I shouted out to a few of you who may not be watching me daily, so check it out!

THIS is awesome! So happy for you.
And let me tell you, your body/weight is sometimes SO unpredictable, don’t you think?
Wow!! That is fantastic. Congratulations!
I hope you and Joe have a great time in Colorado. I can’t remember…are you driving or flying? Enjoy the beauty of Colorado…but not too much. Haha. I say that because when our family visited Colorado we loved it so much that we thought it might be nice to move there.
It’s also probably a lot cheaper than Santa Barbara, I imagine!
WAY TO GO YOU!! This is seriously awesome – congratulations! Not too long until the finish line now, and I know you’ll get there in no time.
Have a great time in Colorado!
Congrats! I joined SparkPeople.com last week and have been keeping track of my calories. I’ve already lost weight. Totally exciting.
That is so awesome!!!!!!! I’m signing up for the gym today, go us!
I can’t wait to see/meet you, you will have so much fun in CO! Hooray for co-vlogging
Congrats! It’s so great when the scale reinforces all the hard work you’ve been doing. Also, good to know that you can get back on track quickly after a fun weekend – so important for long term management of hard work.
I’m kind of curious what has happened with my weight in the last month. I should brave a visit to the scale soon.
Way to go! Looks like you’ve bounced back from your fun weekends better than you thought. Better than *I* feel, at any rate… I still feel like I haven’t fully gotten back on track yet.
Have a great trip in Colorado!
p.s. How has anyone managed to comment on your video yet?? Everytime I bring up the page it gives me an error– says the video is still being processed.
That is AWESOME news! Congrats! you’re like a power star…I wish I could be more diligent and focused, but I love food so much that it’s hard to keep the diet going on the weekdays.
Great job, Tabitha! I hope you have a fantastic time in Colorado. Its aboslutely beautiful there. Also really enjoyed your video. I haven’t had much time watch a whole lot of video’s but I do plan on going back and watching a bunch of them next month. Safe travels, friend!
Congrats on a successful week and inspiring weigh-in. And have a great trip to Colorado!!!
that’s awesome and the best feeling – congrats!
CONGRATS!! That’s so awesome! Doesn’t it just feel so good to make progress toward goals?!
