Truth Tuesday: The Name Game.
Today’s edition of Truth Tuesday is called The Name Game…mostly because I wanted to link to that wikipedia page and tell you to scroll down a bit where it tells you the names that result in “profanity or rude language” when you play the game…like Bart. Heh. (Yep, I’m twelve.) But also because YESTERDAY…my brother and sister-in-law announced the name of their soon-to-be-born son! Ack! That was super exciting, because now I know the name of the precious little kid who’s going to call me Auntie Tabitha. So today you will be guessing what my nephew’s name is going to be. (Thus, Serena and other people in my family are kinda not allowed to guess…cuz you already know. Sorry!)
But first! The answer to last week’s honeymoon edition is…
TWO! It’s a big fat lie, folks. We did not win any money (overall), although we did buy some overpriced poolside drinks…just not with our massive winnings. We did, in fact, go on the gondola ride at the Venetian (and our serenader sang “It’s Now or Never” in Italian), and we did, in fact, visit Hoover Dam and have a weeeeird tour guide with unintelligible speech. He kept saying the word approximately like: “aproxy.”
So, people who got it right: Nora, my dad, and (via facebook) Justin and my mom! Way to go!
Now on to this week’s challenge.
Since it’s called TWO truths and A (ONE) lie, I’ll have to give you the first and middle names separately, and then one non-name. So what you’re doing today is guessing which of these three names is NOT either the first or middle name of my nephew. Next week I’ll tell you how the two names go together (first-middle). Ready? Go!
My nephew’s name will NOT include which of the following:
- Joshua
- Landon
- Levi

Landon is not one of the names
Can I just say that I’m so thrilled I’m getting to know you a bit and got the Lie right for a change? I literally just did a little fist pump into the air at my desk while eating my very late lunch. And I’m a dork…
Anyway, it will not be Landon as either the first or middle name.
aw it’s my baby so I can’t guess, but I know the answer
Well, for two weeks in a row I’ve had to recuse myself. I looked for hidden lies in last week’s TT (like, I’m not sure he sang in Italian, and if he did, do we know, positively, that it was that song, not one that sounded the same?), but I knew A & C were right because you told us, so I didn’t vote.
And, we were just talking with John and Kelly tonight about Josh’s post with the baby name. Kelly said that’s twice Josh has fooled her. The first was when he talked about the baby coming home from the hospital (Owen), and the post yesterday made them think that _______ had been born already.
I probably shouldn’t vote on your life goals, as I don’t want you to feel any pressure about what your life should be shaped like. Except for one thing. I think you should just be crazy in love with our son. That’s about it, really. The rest will work itself out.
I’m looking forward to next week…give me something to vote on…I feel so…useless…
