Waking up is hard to do.

May 28, 2009

So, yesterday I got a membership at Joe’s gym (and I’m canceling Curves). We did some ab workouts, then the elliptical machines. Let me just tell you…it felt GOOOOOD to get on that elliptical. And it felt really good to break a serious sweat. Curves was fun for awhile, but doing the exact same 30-minute workout every time? It gets old. And you reach a point at which it’s really difficult to make progress or feel like you’re losing any weight. Plus, too many women. So, I’m excited about GVAC (Goleta Valley Athletic Club).

That said, my first real workout in a long time…WORE. ME. OUT. I was asleep by like, 10:30 last night, yet waking up this morning has been rough. I snoozed my alarm about five times. And I’m still sitting in bed, trying to open my eyes past slits (yeah, I’m basically typing blindly right now).

It’s a good thing I showered last night, because now all I have to do is brush my teeth, and maybe my hair, and I’m out the door.

Anyway, it’s been practically seven years since my last blog post, and that sucks. Maybe I’ll try to come up with a TMI later today…

don’t you just love “real” workouts.
I have never been to curves or tried it but I could imagine it would be overly crowded and annoying.
I need to get back into the darn gym routine. Seriously.

Workouts are great for deep sleep! I passed out on my living room floor yesterday lol.
